What does enduring conflict do to a person’s soul and to the spirit of a nation? Internationally bestselling Israeli writer David Grossman has spent decades campaigning for peace. In The Thinking Heart he asks difficult, necessary questions of his beloved nation after 7 October: How could this massacre occur? How could the Netanyahu government fail to protect its citizens? Will there ever be a lasting peace in the region? Winner of the International Booker Prize, the Heinrich Heine Prize and the Wingate Prize, Grossman returns to Jewish Book Week in conversation with Rosie Goldsmith.
